Limbo
Limbo narrates the harrowing journey of a young Ethiopian man escaping conflict, travelling through Sudan, enduring the Libyan desert, and crossing the Mediterranean to Malta. Upon arrival, he confronts the dehumanising realities of immigration detention, where he is reduced to a "case file" and stripped of his identity.
The colour yellow symbolises his suffering and uncertainty. As he endures years in detention, witnessing others lose hope, he continues to fight for his freedom, questioning the essence of human rights.
The story poignantly explores themes of displacement, survival, and the desire for belonging in an unwelcoming world.
